Top tips for Pilates beginners

Everyone is talking about the benefits of Pilates, from core strength to improved posture, balance and that feeling of general wellbeing and relaxation.

Do you want to give it a try but don’t know where to start? Worried about feeling like a total beginner?

It can be hard starting something new, but we’ve all got to start somewhere. The important thing is to just get started.

To help you take those all-important first steps here are my top tips for total Pilates beginners:

Let’s Talk

Contact me, either by phone or email. What better time than now? Let me know what you’d like to achieve, what questions you have and let me help you take your first steps.

Enjoy

Let the journey be a fun one.

You don’t need to worry about bringing anything in particular to your first session other than yourself.

Don’t get too caught up in the precision of Pilates, relax and enjoy the sessions.

Don’t compare yourself to others, we are all individuals with our own strengths and goals.

Keep going

Once you’ve got started don’t get frustrated if there is an exercise you find difficult to master or if some sessions feel more difficult than others. Progress is progress. On a regular basis take a moment to review your progress and celebrate how far you’ve come, maybe by setting yourself a new challenge!

The best way to find out what Pilates can do for you is to give it a try. So, what are you waiting for? Contact me and make a change today!

What my clients say

Highly recommend this class to anyone. Caroline explains every move really thoroughly and in a fun way too. I come out of the class feeling happy, relaxed and several inches taller (great when犀利士 you're 5ft 2in).
Carole, March 2016.
